But Peter said, “I don’t have silver or gold, but what I do have, I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!”
Acts 3:6
The story of Acts is the story of the Holy Spirit's indwelling of these followers of the resurrected Christ. Pastor Llyod Ogilvie once told his congregation that the Acts of the Apostles still has more chapters to be written. God is not through with His church. He wants to empower us to do His work, just as He did in the days of the first Pentecost.
Peter's statement in Chapter 3 still rings true, “I don’t have silver or gold, but what I do have, I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!” We may not feel like we have much to give, but we have something incredibly powerful–the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth!
